Custom embroidered beanie with portrait and commemorative message

For this project, we created a personalized embroidery on a graduation cap.

The design features a stylized portrait, made from multiple shades of thread, along with the message:

Portrait transformed into embroidery

Creating a portrait through embroidery involves simplifying the photograph and transforming the main features into stitch areas.

For a clear result, the following are important:

• face shape;
• expression;
• eyes, nose, and mouth;
• contrast between light and shadow;
• hair and skin tones;
• main contours.

The embroidery does not reproduce the photograph pixel by pixel. It retains the elements by which the person can be recognized and adapts them to the limitations of the thread and material.

The black background highlights the cream, brown, white, and orange shades used for the portrait very well.
